Tracy Helm is a Senior Consultant at Samaha & Associates, Inc. A dynamic and driven Credit Union advocate with over 20 years of leadership and executive experience, she has managed over 700 projects, including core software conversions, post conversion projects, migrations and mergers. Tracy demonstrates particular expertise on ATM, debit, credit and shared branching platforms.
Prior to joining Samaha & Associates, Tracy served as Director of Card Services at Jack Henry & Associates. In this role, she was responsible for leading team members on initiatives on the Symitar Episys platform that served over 750 clients. Team projects included: implementations, programming and development, product management, project management, quality assurance, consulting and customer care.
During her tenure at Jack Henry & Associates, she created the Card Services Alliance Committee that brought together key members of the Jack Henry team with Credit Union executives. Together these executives focused on strategic roadmap initiatives and compliance rollout for ATM, debit and credit programs and platforms.
Tracy’s career highlights include serving as President of Minnesota Mutual Life Employees Credit Union in St. Paul, MN and President of the CUSA Northwest User Group. Additionally, she worked at Symitar starting in core implementations where she was responsible for the overall success of the entire conversion process from contract signing to client care. Before assuming the management responsibilities of Symitar’s Card Services division, she worked as a Project Manager overseeing multiple core conversions.
Tracy studied psychology at Arizona State University before transitioning to the University of Minnesota where she earned her degree in Accounting. She is a green belt in Lean Six Sigma and holds various management and leadership certifications, including the Jack Henry CEO Award (2012), which acknowledges achievements in dedication to excellence.
Tracy lives in Poway, Calif. on a small hobby farm she shares with her family and their cats, dogs, chickens and geese. She loves to travel to remote locations around the world and enjoys spending time understanding different cultures. Tracy has run marathons, biked across the state of Iowa, and for many years was a lead chase car driver for an off-road motorcycle team in Baja, Mexico. She has a passion for cooking, gardening and reading classic novels. While she enjoys all genres of music, her favorite music is Latin and Afro- Cuban jazz.
