Ryan Prentice

Ryan Prentice is a Senior Consultant with Samaha & Associates, Inc. With over 20 years of experience in the credit union industry, his core competencies include payment processing, core systems, process improvement, and project management.

Beginning his career with Pemco Technology Services, Inc. (acquired by Jack Henry), he trained credit union executives on implementation best practices and oversaw multiple enterprise-level conversions for credit/debit processing platforms and rewards programs.

Ryan’s next stop was working in Jack Henry’s Symitar division. Here he provided strategic direction for credit/debit/ATM/shared branch modules. In this product management role, he also developed product roadmaps, led development and business analyst teams, implemented PCI PA-DSS, and worked closely with client advisory boards. He spent the next few years leading Symitar’s Client Relations team, advocating for credit unions. Prior to joining Samaha & Associates, he was director of consulting services for Velera (formerly PSCU/Co-op Solutions).

A graduate of Central Washington University (2001), Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance Management Services. Ryan later received a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate from the Project Management Institute and gained a Payment Card Industry Professional license from the PCI Security Standards Council. Ryan lives in Seattle, WA with his wife, two kids, and their dog. An outdoor enthusiast, he spends winters skiing and summers hiking and camping in the nearby Cascade Mountains.
